In this webinar hosted by TFO Family Office Partners Director of Legacy and Learning, Kim Llumiquinga, we heard from two experienced professionals:
- Carey Pickus is a parent coach in private practice and for the Partnership to End Addiction and the co-founder of the nonprofit organization called Trailhead Parent Support; and
- Alex Zemeckis is the president and owner of the Grounds & Cirrus Behavioral Health, a combination of therapeutic modalities as well as transitional housing focused on skill-building and clinical support for young adult men.
Together, they shared their personal stories — how they came to this work and why they are both committed to supporting families from different sides of the same journey. They discussed:
- How to spot early warning signs
- Building communication habits that support healthy boundaries
- Supporting your teen or young adult without unintentionally causing trauma
