I believe that the best financial advice is to invest in yourself. In the words of Warren Buffett, “Invest in as much of yourself as you can. You are your own biggest asset by far.”

The best financial decision I have ever made is to buy a home well under my budget. This has allowed me the flexibility and freedom to have extra cash to put towards things I enjoy.

Be patient with your money, have a budget, an investment plan, goals and try not to be trapped in the now.

Money is not the end – it is a means to an end. Use money to pursue personal passions, to make a meaningful impact and to afford you the time to do the things you love with the people you love.

My favorite things to do without spending money are getting outside, even if it’s just to a local park or for a quick hike. I also love having a movie night at home where my kids build a giant pillow fort and we all watch an old movie and eat popcorn.
